MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Meridian School District
(“District”) and the Meridian Administrators Team (MAT) addresses a furlough for the 2024-25
school year.

WHEREAS, the District’s anticipated revenues are insufficient to maintain the
educational program and services which currently exist in the District for the 2024-2025 school
year; and

WHEREAS, the members of the MAT bargaining unit are willing to forego three
contracted work days each in order to address the District’s financial challenges.

NOW, THEREFORE, the District and the MAT agree as follows:

1. Each member of the MAT bargaining unit will take three furlough days during which no
work will be performed and for which employees will not be compensated.

2. Each bargaining unit member will work directly with the Superintendent or Designee to
identify three days on which the bargaining unit member will serve the furlough.

3. This MOU is nonprecedential.
4. This MOU becomes effective upon execution by both parties.
