MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING between Calhoun- Gilmer Career Center And Gilmer County Scope — To provide an opportunity for students who attend Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center an opportunity to earn embedded credit in Gilmer County based upon this Memorandum of Understanding between Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center and Gilmer County. VALUES This partnership will be guided by the following principles: e Students will receive high quality instruction that will allow them to work toward mastery on 100% of the content standards and objectives for all embedded credit courses approved by the county and WVBE. e Embedded credit is not to create a time-shortened high school experience but rather provide opportunities for students to participate in advanced academic and/or career/technical education courses without having to choose one over the other. INTENT By implementing embedded credit courses at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center, students in Gilmer County will: e Have continued opportunities to complete both a rigorous academic and career/technical education courses/concentrations; e Earn transcribed credit, and; e Be prepared for college and career by improving their achievement.
