In physical education we are working on the following goals across the grade

levels.

¢ Proficiency of locomotion skills: jumping, skipping, hopping, leaping,
running, walking and galloping

¢ The development of throwing and catching with several different pieces
of equipment such as football, bean bags, frisbees, etc...

¢ Mr. Cummings seta goal to run for 5 straight minutes by the end of the
school year. We are helping the students prep for the Pacer test when
they move on to WDI.

Our Specials Teachers and Multicultural Team have challenged the students
to READ Around the WORLD. Every Book read at home or in the classroom
counts as 5 miles. The class to move around the world first wins a Pizza
Party. The students are exploring different countries and cultures and
exploring their own heritage.

We continue to utilize the school garden. This year every child had a hand in
making their own pizza for lunch. The students experienced every aspects
from garden to kitchen to table!
