The Board has received and reviewed the Superintendent’s Monitoring Report referenced above.
Following the Board’s review and discussions with the Superintendent and his representatives,
the Board makes the following conclusions:

2. Please note commendable progress over the last year.
The report shows steady academic progress, with particularly strong growth in math, as
well as ELA and science at various grade levels. Key student groups--including low-income,
multilingual, and students with disabilities—are also showing solid progress. Work to close
achievement gaps continues and the Board appreciates the attention to both the
challenges and successes of student learning.

3. Please note areas for additional improvement.

The report itself outlines the challenges and areas for improvement. The board would like to
see continued progress in all areas.

The report is incredibly informative and a great resource.
