- ~— at4tth Bremerton School District BREMERTON SCHOOL BOARD REPORT TO: Board of Directors Dr. James Crawford, Superintendent FROM: Patty Glaser, Supervisor School Safety & Support DATE: February 09, 2024 SUBJECT: Policy 3207: Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Type of Report Academic Performance Financial Report Personnel Updates aia aGoLetEa Community Engagement Board Policy and/.or Procedure Alignment: Policy 3207: Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Executive Summary/Background Information: As a result of the passage of House Bill 1207, recommendations were made by WSSDA to clarify the HIB process so as to better align with Washington state law. The District last updated this policy in December of 2020. Changes were made to the procedures in April of 2021. Policy and Governance Following the enactment of House Bill 1207, the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA) proposed recommendations to enhance the clarity of the HIB process, ensuring closer alignment with state law. The District revised its policy most recently in December 2020, with procedural adjustments implemented in April 2021. Next Steps The policy and updated procedures will be shared with building administrators and school staff who support the reporting process. The annual reported will be submitted to OSPI in late February.
