BREMERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT 100-C HUMAN RESOURCES REPORT 2023-2024 — 10 BOARD MEETING DATE: March 7, 2024 A. EMPLOYMENT It is recommended that the Board approve the employment of the following employees: Josie Partlow is currently a Lead Preschool Teacher at Discover Village. Recommend Assignment: Paraeducator at Naval Avenue. B. OTHER It is recommended that the Board approve the employment of the following people in Co-Curricular Coaching positions for the 2023-2024 school year contingent upon adequate funding and adequate student participation in activity. These people will be issued a coaching stipend, which is not subject to continuing contract provisions: N/A C. LEAVE OF ABSENCE It is recommended that the Board approve the leave of absence of the following employees: Lisa Casey is a Teacher on Special Assignment in the Teaching and Learning Department. She is requesting a .35 leave of absence for the 24-25 school year. *Nils Thompson is a Library Paraeducator at Bremerton High School. He is requesting a leave of absence beginning March 4" and concluding May 25" for Student Teaching. D. RESIGNATION It is recommended that the Board approve the resignation of the following employees: Jon Bell is the Director of Special Education. He is resigning his position, effective June 30, 2024. Dexter Deam is the Shield Teacher at Mountain View Middle School. He is resigning his position, effective at the end of the 23-24 school year. Kim Flores is the dual Kindergarten Teacher at Armin Jahr Elementary. She is resigning her position, effective at the end of the 23-24 school year. *Nicole Greer is the Kitchen Manager at Mountain View Middle School. She is resigning her position, effective at the end of the 23-24 school year * Jayden Minatani is a Preschool Paraeducator at View Ridge Arts Elementary. She is resigning her position, effective March 15, 2024. Wendy Nelson is a Language Arts Teacher at Bremerton High School. She is resigning her position, effective at the end of the 23-24 school year. E. TERMINATION It is recommended that the Board approve the termination of the following employees *Bethany Doan isa 1:1 Paraeducator at View Ridge Elementary. She is being released during probation, effective March 6, 2024. F. VOLUNTEER COACHES It is recommended that the Board approve the appointment of the following volunteer coaches: G.
