to build a positive culture/community, work on High School and Beyond Activities, grade checks, interventions
and working on keeping up with classes.

We held an assembly the first day of school. This assembly was to bring high school students and staff
together to welcome everyone back together and introduce staff members before heading to 1*
period.

SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Activities and Bootcamp lessons helping students connect with others
and to get organized to start the year. SEL Screener was also given to identify students of greatest
need.

Class competitions were held. Day 1 9v12, Day 2 10v11 Day 3 10v12 Day 4 12vStaff

The staff came out on top after beating the seniors.

Grade checks will be done weekly for students to review their current grades and reflect on what is
needed for improvement or to continue success. Progress reports will be sent electronically to families
regularly. Families can access grades at any time in Skyward.

Students are attending events and creating a supportive positive section to join the community in
cheering on our teams.

Our Staff Culture Club is working on recognition of both staff and students. For football we had a free
hot dog BBQ for staff and students on Sept 6. On Sept 19 we served orange floats during the volleyball
game. Events for all fall activities are scheduled. Staff are donating items for the events.

Chinooks Show Up! This is a focus on attendance to school but it also incorporates other aspects of
“showing up” for others. The staff are making competitions with each other to “show up” as well.
Homecoming Football Game is 9/27. The Homecoming Dance and spirit week will be held Oct 7-12.

CTE Update
The Chinook Shoppe down at the Port continues to be a successful business and a showcase for our students
creating products. The products rotate as the seasons change.

Natural Resource Project: DAC 2 meeting was held on 9/18 to review the designs of the new structure and
make decisions on the interior products. Planning will continue and the team will regroup again later this fall.
