- Public Schools Book Board Policy Section 2000 - Instruction Title Draft of Performance Improvement Goals Code 2004 Status Adopted May 1, 2000 Last Revised December 6, 2023 Prior Revised Dates 11.01; 10.13.03; 03.24.06; 01.26.09; 08.30.10; 04.11.11; 06.29.2020; ACCOUNTABILITY GOALSPERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT GOALS Adopting Performance Improvement Goals Annually, the board will adopt district-wide performance improvement goals for the measures included in the Washington school improvement framework(WSIF). (Growth and proficiency on state tests in math and English language areas, English learner progress, attendance, graduation rate, 9th grade students on track to graduation and dual credit/advanced course- taking opportunities) Reporting Progress Annually, the board will direct each school in the district to establish and report at public meetings goals to increase the measures included in the Washington school improvement framework consistent with federal, state and district goals. The report should include: 1. Performance improvement goals. a. Description of most recently available results of the school improvement framework. 2. Student performance relative to the goals. 3. Plans to achieve the goals, including curriculum and instruction, parent and guardian involvement, and resources available to parents and guardians to assist students in meeting the state standards. a. New-bBenchmarks should be consistent with the goals outlined in the state consolidated plan. (https://www.k12.wa.us/sites/default/files/public/esea/essa/pubdocs/essaconsolidatedplan-final.pdf ) and by the spring of 2027, at a minimum, schools must adopt goals of 90% proficiency on state assessments, 90% graduation rates, and 77% of English learners making progress and transitioning from services within at most six years. 4. The district will report ##-a-news-release the-distriets progress toward meeting the district and building goals. In each school s annual performance report, the district will include school-level goals, student performance relative to the goals, and a summary of school-level plans to achieve the goals.
