July 23, 2024

Dear Superintendent Matthew R. Riggs,

Communities In Schools (CIS) is demonstrating to be a beneficial, impactful, and effective
program in respective Boone County Schools, even during its first year of implementation. As CIS
County Contact, it has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience with many different learning
opportunities to expanded my knowledge and leadership abilities.

Because CIS operation is very unique in our great state of WV, one such learning prospect that |
encountered was the development of the original job description for CIS site coordinators with a
set salary. However, due to unforeseeable state and county raises, CIS Site Coordinator job
postings did not incorporate this opportunity. Therefore, this letter is to kindly propose and
request Superintendent recommendation for board approval to revise and reestablish CIS Site
Coordinator salary to include the current state raise ($2,460) and county raise ($1,500) as well
consider authorizing the revision of their base salary to include any future state and/or county
raises in the event that this would occur for the duration of their contract.

| appreciate any consideration of this request, and please do not hesitate to contact me with any
questions or concerns.

Respectfully,

Krystal Stollings, M.A., Ed.S., NCSP
