VACANCY
MEMBER

I am writing to formally request to hold a three-hour after-school training session for referral agents. Recently,
the pay stipend for referral agents was increased, and my department would like to hold a traming session to
ensure that staff members in this position understand their roles and responsibilities that warrant this mcrease in
pay. The DEC has updated many of the forms and requirements for referral agents and would like the opportunity

to explain these new systems to them.

The pay for this training would be $25 per hour for three hours. The breakdown of the time would be as follows:
two hours for training and review, and one hour for file preparation and organization at their respective schools.
Principals will also be invited to this training to gain a better understanding of the responsibilities of the referral
agents. These stipends will be paid from IDEA funds.

Thank you for considering this request.
