Memorandum of Understanding
Between
Jackson County Early Explorers and Jackson County Schools

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is entered into by and between Jackson
County Schools (hereinafter referred to as "JCS") and Jackson County Early Explorers
(hereinafter referred to as "JCEE") on this March 4, 2024.

Purpose: The purpose of this MOU is to establish a collaborative partnership between JCS
and JCEE to enhance family engagement and toddler skill development within Jackson
County.

Collaborative Activities:

Family Engagement Workshops: JCS and JCEE agree to collaborate on organizing family
engagement workshops aimed at providing parents and caregivers with resources and
strategies to support their children's development and education.

Toddler Skill Development Programs: JCS and JCEE will work together to design and
implement programs focused on enhancing the cognitive, motor, social, and emotional skills
of toddlers through age-appropriate activities and experiences.

Resource Sharing: Both parties agree to share resources, including educational materials,
expertise, and personnel, to support the successful implementation of collaborative
activities.

Community Outreach: JCS and JCEE will jointly engage with the local community to raise
awareness about the importance of early childhood education and family involvement in
children’s learning.

Roles and Responsibilities: JCS agrees to:

e Assist in rent and utilities up to $25,000 as able.
e Collaborate with JCEE in designing and delivering family engagement workshops.
e Support JCEE in accessing relevant educational resources and materials.

JCEE agrees to:

e Contribute expertise in early childhood education and development through field
trips for Jackson County Schools preschools.
e Assist in the planning and execution of toddler skill development programs.
e Engage parents and caregivers in educational activities and workshops.
Term: This MOU shall commence on the date of signing and shall remain in effect for a
period of one year, unless terminated earlier by mutual agreement or by either party with
30 days’ written notice to the other party.


Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive
information shared during the course of this collaboration.

Amendments: Any amendments to this MOU must be made in writing and signed by
authorized representatives of both parties.
